[ads2]Calm has been restored between Tarkwa-Nsuem MP George Mireku Duker and Presidential staffer Charles Bissue.
The two caucus of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) entered into a brawl during a workshop for NPP Regional executives and Parliamentary candidates at Kingston Hotel in Takoradi last month.[ads1]
It was reported that, Mr Mireku Duker and Charles Bissue have not been on good terms since the latter allegedly supported an independent candidate over the incumbent during the parliamentary primaries.
The report further indicates that, during the meeting, there was a misunderstanding between the MP and the regional party executive.
Mr Bissue who is also the Regional Secretary for the Party, amid the confusion grabbed the hands of Mr Duker and bit it several times causing the MP to bleed profusely. The development is believed to have led to the exchange of punches between the two.[ads4]

This is said to have happened when a five-member Committee set up to broker peace between these two great personalities succeeded by letting the two agreed to work together not only for the interest of the NPP in the Western Region, but also to rekindle a relationship that both cherished.[ads3]
