The Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ebenezer Kojo Kum has resigned from his position in the current government with immediate effect.[ads2]
This was after submitting his resignation letter to President Akufo-Addo on February 3, 2023.
Reasons for his resignation remains unknown but a statement from the Presidency, signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin indicate that President Akufo-Addo has accepted his resignation letter.[ads3]
“President Akufo-Addo thanked him for services to the government and the country and wished him well in his future endeavors”, part of the statement reads.
In the meantime, President Akufo-Addo has asked the minister of local government, decentralization and rural development, Dan Botwe to takeover as the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs until a substantive appointment is made.[ads4]
