Head Coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton on Sunday, June 11, 2023 announced a call-up for Hafiz Wontah Konkoni to the Black Stars for the African Cup of Nations Qualifier against Madagascar.
The Bechem United forward is believed to have maintained a significant performance that warrant a place in the senior national team.
The forward has scored 15 goals in the Betpawa Premier League will be the only locally based player to be handed the honor. Hafiz helped Bechem United to finish third in the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League.
The Black Stars will travel to play Madagascar on June 18, 2023 for the match 5 encounter.
