Kumasi Asante Kotoko managed to beat fellow Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy (WAFA) by a goal to nil.
The Porcupine Warriors hosted the Sogakope based lads in a preparatory match towards their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Guinean international Naiby Keita who joined the team late for their 10 days camping in Takoradi had the only goal in the encounter for the Porcupine Warriors.
WAFA created some goal threatening opportunities but couldn’t get the equalizer as their upfront squandered all the opportunities.
The victory becomes a morale booster for the Porcupine Warriors prior to their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
The Kumasi based team will begin their Africa campaign against the yet to be decided winner of the Cameroon FA Cup on 28th November,2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
