Coach Abdulai Abdul Mumin takes responsibility for RTU’s 3-1 home defeat to Aduana

RTU was thrashed in front of their home fans and couldn’t stop the torrential Aduana FC at the Northern Fortress over the weekend.

After the game, the gaffer solely took responsibility for what went wrong at home since he was in charge of team selection. He also bemoaned the wasted chances that RTU should have converted in the first half.

Coach Mumin said after the game, “As head of the technical team, I take full responsibility for the defeat. The outcome wasn’t what was expected, but football is a game.

We failed to kill the game in the first half when we had the chance. On behalf of the technical and playing bodies, we sincerely apologize to RTU fans for the pain they suffered. We’ll correct our lapses in subsequent matches”.

RTU are currently in 9th place with 10 points and will play Nations FC on November 1st.
