Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs head coach, Bashiru Hayford have descend hard on the performance of Ghanaian referees after his side ended their Match day 11 of the Ghana Premier League with Medeama Sporting Club in a stalemate [1:1].
According to the former Head coach for Ashanti Gold, performance of Ghanaian referees is abysmal and that has ended their inactivity of officiating international matches.
The game which was handled by referee Kyeremeh Yeboah ended in 1:1 draw at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Thursday 3rd May,2018.
But speaking to the press in an interview after the clash with Medeama Sporting Club, Coach Bashiru Hayford said that
“I have my reservation for officiating but that’s the standard. As people are talking about the standard of the game of the players but that’s the standard of the referees, so sometimes it pains me that a Beninois from Benin will go and officiate the World Cup and Ghana referee will not officiate the World Cup because of this minor minor things, after all if you are fair everybody will be happy and go home because the game is either you lose, win or draw but after the game if everybody want the throat of the referee, then you know something went wrong“, He said.
The Cape Coast based team currently languishes 13th on the league log with 10 points whereas Medeama Sporting Club sit 4th with 17 points .
