Coach Bashiru Hayford has revealed respect and in a bid to improve one’s CV are the major reasons coaches cannot turn Asante Kotoko job down.
The former Ghana Premier League winning coach is regarded as one of the experienced coaches in the country, guiding both Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold SC to Ghana Premier League titles.
Coach Bashir Hayford led Asante Kotoko to the 2007-08 Ghana Premier League title and did same with AshantiGold in 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.
Bashiru claims coaches will come and work at Kotoko even if the salary is pegged at GHS 200.00.

“You have to manage yourself and do something to improve your CV” – Hayford told West FM.
“People accord you the needed respect and pat your shoulders when they realize you’ve coached Kotoko before because it isn’t a small club.

“Everyone wants to coach Kotoko. Coaches will still come chasing for the job even if the salary cap is pegged at GHc 200.00.
“You can ask ‘Coach Opeele’ how much he was receiving at Kotoko?” – Bashiru quizzed.
