Ghana has recorded one thousand, one hundred and fifty-six (1156) active cases of the novel Coronavirus.
Three weeks ago, Ghana had 398 active cases and the current figure means the country has recorded an increase of the devastating disease after 198 new cases recorded as of Sunday.

The confirmed cases has now hit 49,202 with 320 deaths whiles 47,726 persons have successfully recovered.
Addressing the nation on Sunday, November 8, 2020 President Akufo-Addo stated that the average daily infections have more than quadrupled over the last two weeks.

“The number of daily infections is on the rise, from an average of 25 new cases per day then to an average of 130 new cases per day in the course of the last two weeks,” he said.

“These figures, obviously, give cause for concern in view of what is happening in Europe and America following the outbreak of the second wave of infections that is engulfing so many other countries,” the President said.
He urged Ghanaians to keep adhering to the Coronavirus precautionary measures to help defeat the pandemic in the country.
