The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed that the coronavirus pandemic has killed 15 people within 48 hours.
In its update, GHS say that Ghana has had it death toll rising to 945 on August 16 as against 930 on August 12, 2021.
The GHS disclosed that the country’s active is now at 6,265 with the Greater Accra Region reporting 3,415 of the total cases.[ads2]
They explained that 128 of the active cases are severe while 51 others are in critical condition.[ads3]
New cases of 524 have been recorded in nine regions – noting that as of August 14, the Ahafo, Bono, Western North, Oti, North East, Upper West, Eastern and Central Regions have recorded no new cases.
This means that the total number of confirmed cases of the pandemic to 112,378 with105,168 persons recovered and discharged.[ads5]
