Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin has stated that the President will address the nation today, Sunday, April 19, 2020, adding that time for the address will be communicated later.

The latest address will put to rest considerations of either addition of other new regions or areas in the lockdown as it also turns to be epicentres, a total lockdown or an extension of the lockdown in some parts of the country amidst complaints from some businesses that they are suffering and require some reprieve.
Health economist, Mrs Sarah Akufo on Kumasi-based Hello FM has hinted that, government directive on whether the president addresses will include additional region or areas as it seems epicentres now, possible total lockdown or extension.

According to her, the president will call on specialists before he will make an extension or declare a total lockdown as reports show.

Mrs Sarah Akufo moreover stated on live radio that, the president is likely to include three new regions in the lockdown directives.
Northern Region, Eastern Region, Upper West Region and Oti Region are likely to experience lockdown.
