President Akufo-Addo has lifted the partial lockdown ban on Greater Accra and Kumasi.
Some parts of the two cities were on partial lockdown as part of measures by the government to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The two cities have recorded most cases of the pandemic in the country which forced the government to place them in a partial lockdown.

The initial two weeks partial lockdown was extended for one more week due to the increasing rate of recording cases in the country.
But in a broadcast to the nation on Sunday evening, President Akufo-Addo indicated that the partial lockdown has been lifted due to the progress the country is making in combating the disease.

He stated vehemently that, the ban has been lifted starting from midnight of Monday but urged individuals and businesses to continue adhering to the precautionary measures.
Ghana has so far recorded 1042 cases of the pandemic with 9 deaths.
