The Western Region has seen an upsurge in the coronavirus cases as of Friday, February 5, 2021.
According to the Public Health Management Committee, a total of 165 new cases have been recorded in the region on Friday, February 5, 2021.[ads2]
Out of the 165 cases, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis recorded the highest of 132.
Currently, the Western Region’s active cases stands at 448 as of Friday, February 5, 2021.[ads3]
Per the data from the Ghana Health Service, the Western Region now sit third in terms of regions with the highest cases.
The Western Region has now recorded 3,796 according to the data at the Ghana Health Service portal, with the Greater Accra Region recording the highest of 41, 245 followed by the Ashanti Region with 12,619 cases.
