Veteran Ghanaian boxer David Kotey popularly called D.K Poison paid a courtesy call on Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Kwame Asiamah today.

The former world featherweight boxing champion paid a call on the Sports Minister to expressed his appreciation to the government and the Ministry for their efforts in helping retired sports personalities like himself.
Poison, known as the first Ghaianaian boxer to win a world title urged the government to continue supporting retired sports personalities in the country especially those facing financial difficulties.

Hon. Asiamah was delighted to receive such a sports icon and assured him of the commitment of the government under the leadership of President Nana Akufo Addo to serve Ghanaians and especially individuals like him, who have contributed in marketing Ghana positively on the international stage.

The Youth and Sports Minister also received a petition on behalf of the President from the 1975 and 1976 world featherweight champion.
