Hearts of Oak head coach Kim Grant has revealed that midfielder, Daniel Kodie has no contract with the team.

It was reported in the local media that, the 25-year old versatile midfielder is on the verge of leaving the Rainbow giant after his contract has expired.

However, coach Kim Grant has confirmed that, indeed the former Liberty Professionals enforcer currently has no contract with Hearts of Oak and it’s up to the board of the team to decide whether to renew his contract or let him leave.

Grant also indicated that, Kodie returned for preseason with a long term knee injury which he could be sidelined for about a year.
He said these after their friendly match against Glow-Lamp Soccer Academy today where the Phobians were shockingly beaten 2-1.

Daniel Kodie joined Hearts of Oak on a three-year deal in 2016 after an illustrious seasons with fellow premiership side Liberty Professionals.
