Kumasi Asante Kotoko return leg fixture against Kenyan giant Kariobangi Sharks has been changed.
According to the Accra Representative of the Porcupine Warriors, Edmund Ackah the return leg of the Confederation Cup game against Kariobangi Sharks which was initially slated for Sunday 23rd December, 2018 has been changed to Saturday 22nd December,2018 after receiving a communique from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
” The return match against Kariobangi Sharks in Kumasi earlier scheduled for December 23 has been changed”, he told Kumasi based Fox FM in an interview.
” It has been scheduled for Saturday 22nd December, 2018, this is due to a Communiqué we just received from CAF, so the match is no longer on Sunday.
Kotoko will meet Kariobangi Sharks in the second stage of the CAF Confederation Cup prelims after getting a walk over in the first stage due to the failure on the part of the Federation of Cameroon Football to present a second team to face Kotoko.
Kariobangi Sharks on the other hand managed to qualify to the second stage of the competition by thrilling Artar Solar from Djibouti 9:1 on aggregates.
The first leg is scheduled for Saturday 15th December, 2018 at the Kasarani Stadium in Kenya before the return leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday 22nd December,2018.
