Member of parliament for Kwesimintsim constituency Hon Prince Hamid Armagh has commissioned a newly completed six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Apremdo, a suburb of Kwesimintsim constituency in Sekondi -Takoradi, Western Region.
The gesture is part of the MPs plan to make his constituency one of the best vicinities in Sekondi – Takoradi with varied developments especially education, health and job creation.
The commissioning of the classroom block was accompanied by Hon. Kojo Acquah, Municipal Chief Executive, Nana Egya Kwamina XI, Chief of Apremdo, and Mrs. Gloria Biney-Gontor, Education Director.
The project was abandoned in 2008, however, through the sacrifice and efforts of Hon Hamid Armah in collaboration with the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly the project has been completed.
According to him, he is committed to further improve the school by adding another layer to the structure and provide the necessary resources to transform it into an international school as he believes in building a brighter future for the children in Kwesimintsim and Western Region as a whole.
On the contrary, he also commissioned a modern sanitary facility, including a 10-seater water closet, two urinal bays, a borehole, and a poly tank to improve hygiene and access to clean water in Whindo a suburb in his constituency.
Hon Hamid Armah also highlighted some significant achievements in Whindo, such as the construction of an ultra-modern six-unit school block, the completion of the Assakea-Whindo road, and the establishment of a refuse collection point.
He also assured the community, under the leadership of Nana Kwesi Essiem IV, of his continued commitment to delivering more developmental projects.
