The Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Perry Curtis Okudzato has lauded the Israel government for its readiness to boost and improve the fortunes of Ghana sports through its thriving technology industry.
Hon. Okudzato commended the Israel government during a visit by it’s Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Ms Shani Cooper-Zubida at his office in Accra.
The visit of the Israeli Ambassador was among other things to deepened bilateral relations and most importantly explore areas of cooperation for the mutual benefits of both countries in sports and youth development
The Ambassador was also open to using Israel’s thriving technology industry to boost and improve the fortunes of Ghana Sports.
With this, the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports commended the Israel government for their efforts and readiness to help improve and boost sports in Ghana.
Hon. Okudzato continued that, the National Youth Authority (NYA), an agency mandated to champion youth development in the country will welcome any ideas to that effect.
He also urged the Israeli government to complement Ghana’s effort with technology-based ideas as Ghana seeks to construct a state of the art Olympic Sports Stadium and other facilities to host the 2023 All African Games. This according to the minister will ensure that Ghana organised a successful continental sporting event.
Present at the meeting was a Senior Strategic Innovation Advisor at the Israel’s Peres Centre for Peace and Innovation as well as Mr. Oren Simanian and the Chief Director of the Youth and Sports Ministry, Mr.Frank Quist.
