Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), has backed Police Ladies to defeat Army Ladies and win the Women’s FA Cup on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
After sounding philosophical about the impending crunch match, the police chief has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to dominate their Army counterparts ahead of the much-anticipated cracker.
“Our defeat in the last FA Cup final would be said to be a failure on our part. However, depending on your perspective, failure can also be seen as a success that deserves to be acknowledged.
The number of your failures determines the number of your successes. We are going to lift this cup based on that previous failure,” he declared.
The Women’s FA Cup Final will be the opening match of the upcoming Women’s Football Festival’s double-header, which will be staged at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on June 8.
The University of Ghana Stadium will host an epic and historic final between Police Ladies and Army Ladies. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 pm local time.
