Federation of International Football Association has appointed a two-member committee to liaise between FIFA and CAF to ensure Ghana is able to participate in all international competitions as government continues to take steps to reform Ghana football.
Dr Kofi Amoah, a businessman, the head of the Local Organizing Committee who organized the 2008 African Cup of Nation in Ghana will head the Liason team,
while Oti Akenteng, the Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will second Dr. Kofi Amoah.
A press statement issued by both the government of Ghana and FIFA today and yesterday respectively made it known after a government delegation met with FIFA officials last week in Zurich, Switzerland last Thursday, June 29.
The statement signed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah said, following those deliberations both parties agreed to collaborate closely to restore normalcy and integrity to the administration of football in Ghana.
2. Pending the institution of definite interim measures for the administration of football in Ghana, the following persons are mandated to constitute a Liason Team with FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for football affairs in Ghana:
a. Dr Kofi Amoah (Head of Liason Team)
b. Coach Oti Akenteng (Member)
