Information reaching Kyfilla.com indicates that, the Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has released GHC 800,000 to settle all the contractual arrears the club is owing some players.
According to Kumasi based Light FM, the astute businessman released the huge amount to the management of the club today ( Monday) to pay all the players the club is owing including some technical staff.
Dr. Kwame Kyei has also paid all the bonuses the club was owing the playing body and the technical team in the ongoing Normalization Committee’ Special Competition.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko held Bechem United a 1:1 stalemate on last Sunday in the week five of the Special Competition and currently boast of 10 points while striker Fatau Shafiu leads the goal king chat with 5 goals.
