Ebenezer Aidoo (Engineer), a former parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2018-2019 of the Ahanta West Constituency of the Western region has declared his intention to contest for the Western Regional Youth Organizer position when the NDC open nominations in the coming months.
Ebenezer Aidoo, who hails from Dixcove in the Ahanta west Municipality is a mining engineer by profession and currently works with Engineer and Planners.
Mr Aidoo stated in his intention declaration statement that he has served in various capacities of the party of which he currently holds the position of the Regional Youth Working Committee Chairman and doubles as the vice chairman of Ahanta West Constituency.
These two positions have earned him the trust of the people as he has been very much committed to serving them in this capacity. He stated, “In all my endeavours I have always put people first in everything I do just as the adage service to the people and I am committed in serving my party NDC and the youth when I am given the opportunity” he said in his declaration.
He also added that some youths faithfuls including the youth organisers and dupities together with the various wings of TEIN have called on him to step up for them. “Comrades my research over the past 9 months has shown that the Youth Wing need a strong-willed, humble and a decisive person who is dynamic and has the resource to coordinate the affairs of the Youth Wing to complement the effort of the National Youth Organizer and I must say, I am pleased to fall within the call for leadership and we will all pursue it together”.
Mr Aidoo said again in his declaration statement that the time has come for the change in the youth wing in Western Region to make it more attractive and move away from the status quo where the Youth does not have major voice in decision making eventhough the youth forms majority in terms of numbers.
Ebenezer Aidoo is a multilingual individual who can speak almost every major language in Western region. He speaks fluent English, Ahanta, Fante, Nzema, Twi and Wassa. He also speaks and understand basic French.
In the past, Ebenezer Aidoo worked as sport broadcaster for Kessben and Boss Fm in Kumasi before becoming a household name with Takoradi based Kyzz Fm. He also worked as the Public Relations Officer and the brands and Marketing manager for Tarkwa based Medeama SC of which he still consult for them.
