The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that it will conduct an auditing on its meters very soon.
As part of the field survey, ECG, in a statement, said officials will be deployed to update customer information.
With postpaid customers who have meters but do not receive bills alongside those who do not purchase credit and those having faulty meters among others are encouraged to report to the its offices for rectification.
According to ECG, this moratorium will last for a month beginning on June 7 to July 6, 2022.
ECG says after the moratorium, customers who will be caught stealing electricity will be charged with the offences of stealing to accordance with the law.
The company says customers who will caught stealing electricity will not only be charged but also have their names published widely..
