GNPC Foundation, the social investment arm of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation on Friday 13th July, 2018 cuts sod to construct an ultramodern standard artificial turf at Effiekuma Police Park in the Western region.
Speaking at the ceremony as the main guest, honorable Joseph Cudjoe, member of Parliament for Effia constituency and the Deputy Energy Minister assured the gathering that the structure will be completed in the next six months.
Moreover, honorable Joseph Cudjoe added that the NPP government together with the GNPC Foundation believes in quality and will make the artificial pitch a ‘Barcelona’ standard.
‘‘The government and GNPC Foundation believes in quality and we will make the pitch a Barcelona standard .I assure you all that the pitch will be ready in the next six months”, he said.
However, GNPC Foundation have outlined plans to construct five artificial pitches this year and have already started sod-cutting exercises across the length and breath of the county.
