The Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly has donated 20 dust bins to the Takoradi Senior High School at a short ceremony at the the school today, the school requested that they needed the bins to help sensitise the school to keep the surroundings clean always.
The appeal was made ahead of the school 60th Anniversary celebration.The headmaster of the school Mr. Ato Bruce, thanked EKMA and all those present and also disclosed that their request was done within a short time.
The Municipal Director of Education for Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, Mrs Sally Nelly Coleman, made the presentation on behalf of the EKMA Chief Executive Hon. Kojo Acquah and also urged the school authorities to take good care of the bins because a clean environment is very essentials in the process of learning.
Hon. Kojo Acquah who is the Municipal Chief Executive for Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly when speaking also urged the school authorities to make good use of the dust bins. He also promised after the school’s 60th Anniversary he will have a meeting with the headmaster and the staff to know how waste are going to be dispose in the school.
Other members present during the presentation were MP for Kwesimintsim, Hon Joe Mensah, EKMA Presiding Member, an Old Student of TADISCO, Hon. John Davis, some staff members of EKMA Education Unit, other EKMA staff as well as teachers of TADISCO.
