Former Western Region Deputy Minister, Emelia Arthur has won the ticket to contest in the 2024 general elections as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Shama.
She won the race with an overwhelming votes during the party’s presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Mrs Emelia Arthur accumulated 506 votes to defeat the three other contestants.
The three other candidates were Kojo Essilfie who had 371 votes while Sadique and Eric Cobbinah polled 79 and 175 votes respectively.
