Former Asante Kotoko defender, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has disclosed why he left the club.
The talented centre-back will not be part of the Asante Kotoko squad for the 2020/21 league season after ending his stay with the Ghana Premier League club.

He joins the likes of Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Patrick Yeboah, Ampem Dacosta, Maxwell Baakoh and others to leave the Ghana Premier League record holders.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Agyemang-Badu disclosed that he left Asante Kotoko because the club was unable to meet his demands to renew his stay.

“I didn’t want to continue with my career in Ghana that’s why I couldn’t register for Kotoko. As a young player I can rate my performance 85% with my stint with Kotoko
“Kotoko offer given to me wasn’t reasonable that’s why I didn’t continue with Kotoko. I will wish all the current players of Kotoko the best of luck but I will miss ex Kotoko young chap Mathew Anim Cudjoe”, Agyemang-Badu said on Ashh FM.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have signed nine new players to augment their squad for the upcoming league season.
Kotoko have signed Sulley Muniru, Razak Abalora, Yusif Mubarik, Patrick Asmah, Andrews Kwadwo Appau, Latif Anabila, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Evans Adomako and Brazilian midfielder Fabio Dos Santos Gama .
