Ghana’s only representative in the ongoing CAF inter-club competition, Asante Kotoko managed to secure group stages ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time since 2008.
One player who caught the attention of spectators during the final play-offs game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against the Cameroonian side Coton Sport was former Karela United winger Maxwell Baakoh.
Baakoh was a delight to watch in the titanic encounter, tormenting the defense of the opponent and eventually finding the net for the Porcupine Warriors with a superb range.
His dazzling performance for the Porcupine Warriors since his inclusion ethuszed most of the supporters far and near to be at the stadium to watch Kotoko playing.
With this, most supporters are always joy and rest-assured that Baakoh would deliver including his own teammates such as Emmanuel Gyamfi .
According to Gyamfi, the former Karela United winger is the face of Kotoko currently and he’s the reason why the Porcupine Warriors are in the group stages for the first time since 2008, labelling him as a ‘super player’

” We understand ourselves because he was a former player at Wa All Stars and I really know how dangerous he is.
Meanwhile, Kotoko are tied in the group C with Zambian giants ZESCO United and Nkana FC as well as Sudanese side Al Hilal and Baakoh together with Gyamfi are expected to continue their impressive form.
The Porcupine Warriors will open their group stages campaign against Al Hilal far away in Sudan on February 3.
