President of Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG], Kwabena Yeboah has given the clearest indication that the management of the Asante Kotoko are failing to do the fundamental things to aid in the development of the club claiming the current players are the worse in history.
The former Premier League champions have struggled to make an impact in the past years.
Ahead of their 2018 CAF Confederations Cup campaign, there were high hopes that the Warriors will make an impact but they were crashed out in the preliminary round by CARA Brazzaville.
After 10 matches played in the Ghana Premier League, the Reds are occupying the 10th position with 14 points.
Despite their difficult run, the ace broadcaster says the management of the club are failing to do the fundamental work that will aid in the development of the club.
“I watched Asante Kotoko against Dreams FC at Dawu and this Kotoko team cannot promise anything better,” he told Kwese Sports.
“This Kotoko side is the worse I have ever seen in history because you cannot see any exceptional player apart from the goalkeeper [Felix Annan].
“I am saying this to motivate them to do the right thing. They keep on changing coaches and the problem is still not solved.
“This should tell you the problem is not the coach but the management have failed to do the fundamental things and that has bee the problem,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will play Karela United in the matchday 11 fixture on Wednesday.
