Ernestina Abambila has earned a return to the Black Queens squad as one of the 31 initial squad invited for the upcoming Confederation of African Football Olympics Qualifiers.
Abambila last played for the national team in a friendly against France in December 2017.
The 24-year-old has made two caps for the senior national following her impressive run for Ghana’s U-17 and U-20 teams at the FIFA World Cup.
She has scored a combined five goals for Ghana’s juvenile teams in 21 appearances.
The former Hasaacas Ladies FC and FC Minsk midfielder currently plays for Polish side UKS SMS Łódź.
She became the first Ghanaian to score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League when FC Minsk beat Ljubljana in the group stage of the 2017-18 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Ghana will be opening camp from Monday, July 3 to prepare ahead of the double header against Guinea in the first round of the CAF Women’s Olympics Qualifiers.
The two legged ties will be played between July 10 and July 18, 2023.
