Ghanaian midfielder Ernestina Abambila for the first time lasted the entire ninety minutes as Sporting Club de Huelva were defeated 0:4 by FC Barcelona in the Spanish Women’s Copa del Rey today.

The former Hasaacas Ladies star who plays as an attacking midfielder joined the Spanish outfit in January this year and had to wait for today to play her full time game for the Andalusia based club.
The 21-year old who can also play as a holding midfielder, proved too stubborn for the defenders of the star-studded Barcelona side but couldn’t score as known of her.

Despite the disappointing result, Abambila was exceptional for the Andalusia based side with her energetic runs and incisive passes.
This is the second time that the Black Queens midfielder has featured for Sporting Club de Huelva after lasting forty-five minutes in their previous game.
With her amazing performance today, Abambila will be hoping to cement her place in the starting line-up of the team.

Ernestina Abambila is the first Ghanaian to score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League when her former team FC Minsk beat Ljubljana in the group stage of the 2017-18 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
