Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare – the President of Division One League female side in the Ashanti Region, Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies and also a member of the NC Special Competition has commended the Normalization Committee for organizing the Women’s Special Competition.
The Special Women’s Competition was initiated by the Dr. Kofi Amoah led Committee to fill the void as football activities in the country was suspended after the Anas Aremayaw Anas ‘Number 12’ expose which uncovered the rottenness in the country and Africa football business.
According to Madam Nsiah Asare, the Normalization Committee has done a marvellous job by not neglecting women’s football in this normalization period and believes the committee has a lot to offer women’s football in the country.
“The Normalization Committee has done well for organizing the Women’s Special Competition and I commend them for doing a great job”, she told Radio Silver.
” They have done well for not neglecting women’s football in this times and per what they had done, I personally believe they have a lot to offer women’s football in the country.
She also commended the various stakeholders for a peaceful women’s special competition even though there was some little fracass during Prisons Ladies clash with Ampem Darkoa Ladies in Sunyani.
” I will also commend the media, referees, the teams and supporters for a peaceful competition even though there were reports of hooliganism in the last minutes of the competition by some fans of Prisons Ladies but all the same it has been peaceful”, she added.
Meanwhile, Hasaacas Ladies will face off Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the finals of the competition on Sunday at the El Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.
