Chelsea legend Michael Essien’s reported move to Romanian top flight side CFR Cluj is off after the midfielder was declared too old at age 35 by new coach Edward lordanescu.
The 35 year old Ghanaian was set to sign a contract worth almost 1 million pounds a year with the Romanian side CFR Cluj after been released in March by Indonesian outfit Persib Bandung but new coach Edward lordanescu has vetoed a deal since taking charge last week, claiming Essien is too old.

Essien won two Premier league, four FA cups and the league cup on top of his Champions league medal during his Nine years at Stamford Bridge.
