Ghana Premier league heavyweight Asante Kotoko have eliminated lower tier side Thunderbolt FC from the ongoing FA Cup competition.
The Porcupine Warriors played as visitors to Thunderbolt FC at the Nana Afrane Okese Park in Ejisu in round 32 of the MTN sponsored FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.[ads2]
An explosive performance from Evans Adomako ensured Asante Kotoko delete Thunderbolt FC in the round 32 of the competition.
Adomako netted two times for Kotoko before deputy skipper Emmanuel Gyamfi could scored the final goal to give the Porcupines a victory at Ejisu.
Evans Adomako broke the virginity of the game as early as the fifth minute by heading home a perfect cross from Solomon Sarfo Taylor.[ads3]
That didn’t deter Thunderbolt, as they gave a thunderbolt performance to score the equalizer courtesy an effort from Napoleon Boateng in just five minutes after.[ads4]
Evans Adomako restored the lead for Kotoko in just three minutes into the second half before Emmanuel Gyamfi sealed the victory with a fine goal in the 64th minute with Fabio Gama providing the assist.
The victory means Asante Kotoko have qualified to the round sixteen of the FA Cup.[ads5]
