It’s an undeniable fact that the Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has so far contributed immensely to the successful surgeries of national team players who sustained injury whilst on national duties.
His contributions towards these players who find difficulties in raising funds for a successful surgeries is enormous.
Since the Hon. Isaac Asiamah assumed office as the Youth and Sports Minister, Kyfilla.com checks reveal, he has moved swiftly to ensure that all the national team players who have incurred injuries during their service for the nation, are given the best of medical treatments.
Process of treatment
The team doctor for the national teams write a report on the injured players to the Ministry. The doctor will then send the injured players to specialists at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra to assess the injury.
An invoice on the cost of the surgery or the treatment would be sent to the Sports Ministry through the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The Ghana Football Association will add a covering letter for the Sports Ministry to take action.
The Sector Minister under his administration, has ensured that players like Naomi Animah, Uwaisa Mawia, Priscilla Adobea, Adizatu Mustapha and Sonia Opoku, have been given the best of treatments with alacrity.
According to Kyfilla.com source, the Sports Ministry under the administration of Hon. Isaac Asiamah, have injected a sum of GH¢ 112,000.00 in the treatments of the aforementioned players.
Also, the sector minister per source, has instructed that monies totaling GH¢99,000 should be released for the treatment of Ama Bernice, Gladys Amfobeah, Sandra Owusu Ansah and Rafia Kulchire Alhassan.
It must be noted that, most of the budding talents got injured even before Hon. Isaac Asiamah assumed office as the Youth and Sports Minister.
It must also be stated that, the Hon. Minister does not discriminate in anyway when it comes to health condition of our national assets not only in football but all other sporting events.
