Nigeria’s Super Falcons are currently charged at Nigeria Football Federation for unpaid bonuses, per diems and allowances dating as far back as 2021 as a statement released on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 by FIFPro indicates.
The statement clarified that the players were determined to go through the FIFA Women’s World Cup with determination and will not allow the unpaid arrears get in the way.
The Super Falcons fell out of the Women’s World Cup round of 16 after a 4-1 penalty shootout defeat to England’s Three Lioness after a 1-1 in regulations time.
FIFPro reveals Super Falcons are currently frustrated by the constant neglect of payments due them.
