The member of Parliament for Fomena, Hon. Andrew Amoako Asiamah has said he will join the New Patriotic Party (NPP) side in the 8th Parliament.
Hon. Amoako Asiamah won the Fomena seat as an independent candidate having lost the NPP primaries prior to the 2020 December polls.[ads2]
Both the NPP and the NDC were having 137 seats each excluding that of Sene West and the declaration of Hon. Amoako Asiamah means the NPP will have the majority.
Hon. Amoako Asiamah made the declaration when speaking with pressmen after Parliament proceedings on Wednesday.[ads3]
He disclosed that he has decided to join the NPP side in the next Parliament following pleas from his constituents.[ads5]
