A Turkish court sentenced MKE Ankaragucu president Faruk Koca to more than three and a half years in prison for attacking a referee on the field at the end of a league game last season.
The verdict came after punching and threatening to kill referee Halil Umut Meler in December last year during the final stretch of a 1-1 draw against Rizespor in the Turkish Premier League.
Mr. Koca was furious after the opposition team levelled against them to deny their chances of qualifying to the Turkish League.
