Former Sekondi Eleven Wise gaffer Paul Ainoo has been honored in a special football match.
The veteran footballer cum coach was honored in a titanic game between Johans Bordoh Select Side and Paa Prah Select Side at the Sekondi Methodist Park on Tuesday 17th July, 2018.
The friendly encounter was to solicits funds for the retired footballer who has been inactive for quiet a longer time.
Ghana Premier League stars like Karela United sensation William Opoku Mensah, Wa All Stars winger Kelvin Andoh, Medeama Sporting Club midfield dynamo Justice Blay and former Hearts of Oak player Leonard Tawiah were all players who participated in the friendly.
Presents at the event was the Chief of Ngyiresia, Nana Awortwe, former Supporters Chairman for Sekondi Eleven Wise Jonas Amakye, Mr.Philemon Amponsah etc.
Speaking after the game, the former Sekondi Eleven Wise player, Paul Ainoo thanked the organizers and the whole crowd who came and watched the game and commented that the current Ghanaian players have not reached a quarter of what they did in the early 70’s and urged them to do more.
“Am happy for the recognition although its sad that I have been sick for a longer time, what they did means a lot to me.
“Currently they have not reached our standard but they should work more’, he said.
