Hasaacas’s Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Arbuah has proposed a way to fortify the various Division One League zones as an alternative of wooing corporate partners unlike the Ghana Football Association’s proposal to alternate the current 16 teams zonal leagues to a single 18 teams league in the next couple of years.
Samuel Arbuah is of the firm believe that the idea to alternate the current format of the Division One League isn’t the best way to get sponsorship using the Ghana Premier League as the yardstick.

The Ghana Football Association has formed a 5 member advisory committee to discuss the possibilities of changing the current second on the pyramid competition from its current zonal leagues to 18 teams national league.
According to the CEO of the 1977 Ghana Premier League winners, the current format is the best way to get sponsors if the various zones are strengthened to be independent, the zones able to form their independent marketing teams and managerial teams so to formulate ways of getting the required sponsors for each of the three 16 teams zonal leagues.

“What I’m saying is that the idea of making Division One League 18 teams isn’t a good one and I don’t see that being the way to woo sponsors. What I’m proposing is; lets fortify the various zones to be independent, the various zones should form their strong marketing teams(just like the Division One League Board) so zone two can find its own headline sponsor which will be different from zone one and three – that’ll bring the competitiveness we are all looking for and we can find money to help our clubs.
“The 18 clubs league doesn’t guarantee sponsors, tell me how many sponsors do the Ghana Premier League have?” – CEO of Sekondi Hasaacas FC, Samuel Arbuah told New Day TV.
