The Youth and Sports Ministry alongside the Ghana Football Association have appointed astute sports broadcaster, Richmond Opoku Afriyie as the media officer for the Black Stars ‘B’.
Kyfilla.com can confirm, that the tough-talking sports broadcaster, who works with F-Giant Broadcasting Network subsidiary in Kumasi, Fox 97.9 FM was handed the new role on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

P-Kay as popular called, will now serve as the Media Officer for the Black Stars B team ahead of the CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso and the upcoming WAFU tournament in Senegal and other subsequent tournaments.

The award winning journalist, known for his endless passion for the promotion and development of local football, has been driven deeper into the administration of the game to exploit his in depth know how of the game of football to project the activities of the Black Stars’B’ team.
He has been the Chief Executive Officer for division one league side Unity FC based in Kenyase, and has been an advocate in the promotion of local football over the foreign contents.
He will be in charge of all media interactions on issues relating to the Black Stars B, where he is assigned to grant media interviews on behalf of the team, and to update all soccer loving fans and Ghanaians at large on developments from the camp of the team.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars’B’ side will face Burkina Faso in a double header tie for a place in next year’s CHAN tournament, with Ghana hosting the first-leg on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi before the reverse fixture in Burkina Faso.
Coach Maxwell Konadu’ side are also expected to represent Ghana in the upcoming WAFU Championship in Senegal.
