The Kaneshie District Court has granted Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng popularly known as Funny face has been granted bail.
The Ghanaian comic actor was granted Gh¢50,000.00with two sureties after the prosecutor handling the case brought him to court indicating to the court that the full medical report and the treatment done.[ads2]
ASP Slyvester Asare told the court that the doctor treating Funny Face has discharged him and needed the court to remand him but the trial judge Oheneba Kuffour granted him bail.
Background
Funny Face was arrested on October 18, 2021 for allegedly threatening certain individuals via some Social Media platforms.[ads3]
Due to his history, the police submitted Funny Face to the court for an order for psychiatric examination, to determine the next line of investigative action.
The Kaneshie District Court in Accra on 20th October, 2021, referred Funny Face to a Psychiatric Hospital for medical examination.[ads5]
