Astute legal practitioner George Akomah Mensah has joined the race for Ghana Football Association presidential seat.
The 56-year old legal practitioner has thrown his name into the ring with the promise of integrity, accountability, a brighter future for clubs, players and football equity in Ghana that fans can trust and enjoy.
With a powerful curriculum vitae with over three decades of law practice and a clientele that stretches from local business magnates to global corporate giants, suggests that Mr Ankoma Mensah means business.

Among his backers is a former FIFA World Cup winner, top British diplomats with major investment interests and partners in the EPL as well as American legal and commerce links.
The surprise candidate is believed to have strong local roots, stretching from 2001 and has been an Executive Director of Odorkor Kwashiman United in Accra and advocate for Women’s football.
A key pillar of lawyer Ankoma Mensah’s vision is to connect and resource local football clubs at community level to teams up the higher scale of domestic football through technical, financial and infrastructural support.

He becomes the latest to join the race after George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Osei Palmer ,Nana Yaw Amponsah, Amanda Clinton and others.
