Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer George Amoako alongside Medeama SC Board Member Dr. Toni Aubynn have joined the race for the Ghana FA Vice President role.

According to several reports in the local media, the other two vying for the second highest office in the Ghana football business are Ashgold CEO Fred Acheampong and former Ghana FA Communications Director Randy Abbey.

The reports indicate that, initially the race was between Dr. Toni Aubynn and Randy Abbey but surprisingly Fred Acheampong and George Amoako have also showed interests.

Per the Ghana FA Status, the Executive Council have to elect one person from the Council to the position of the Vice President of the Ghana Football Association.

This means that one of the four candidates will have to be elected by the Executive Council to become the new Vice President of the Ghana FA after George Afriyie.
Kyfilla.com understands, the Executive Council will have their first meeting on Monday, October 28 to elect one of the Council members as the next Ghana FA Vice President.

The new Ghana FA Executive Council has been reduced from 23 to 12 members with 5 reps from the Premier League, 3 from division one, 2 RFA Chairmen with the Ghana FA President and a rep from the Women’ football having the remaining slot.
