The Ghana Education Service has been cleared to recruit about sixteen thousand, eight hundred and fifty (16,850) newly trained teachers.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, a financial clearance has been granted to the Ministry of Education to pave way for GES to make the recruitments.[ads2]
The statement also says an approval has been granted to their emoluments to be charged against the compensation of employees vote of the Ministry of Education in the 2021 budget statement.
Also, the director of the Ghana Education Service has been tasked to ensure the newly trained teachers have their documents processed on time and placed on the mechanized payroll earlier enough to enable the Controller and Accountant’s Department to effect their salaries.
