The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has revealed that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League will kick off on September 6th, marking exactly 82 days since the conclusion of the previous season.
The GFA has also set firm deadlines for the upcoming season. Clubs must submit their kits by August 15th and their squad lists by August 17th.
These deadlines apply to teams in the Women’s Premier League and the Division One League (DOL) as well. Defending champions, FC Samartex will be vying for the title against 17 other clubs.
Young Apostles, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC are the newly promoted teams for this season.
These clubs will replace Great Olympics, Bofoakwa Tano, and Real Tamale United, who were relegated.
In the meantime, FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively, next season.
