Ghana Football Association Executive Council has conformed to members’ of the association’s petition to revert earlier suggested virtual congress to the normal meeting setting.
The GFA’s Executive Council following its meeting on Monday, August 17, 2020 has changed the August 26, 2020 Ordinary Congress date to September 1, 2020.
The decision was made possible following members petition which was signed by over 62 clubs outlining some challenges that can hinder the purpose of the congress if held virtually.

The unsatisfied clubs named; network challenges, unable to ascertain who has a hand up, technical challenges and several other factors including counting votes and others.
The over members argued that despite the imposition of Restrictions Act 2020(Act 2020) and the Registrar General directives on Annual General meeting, holding a video conference has several impediments which will not aid in the agenda of the day.
Meeting will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence on September 1, 2020 at exactly 9:00A.M.

Upon further considerations the Executive Council conformed to the demands of the clubs and has set September 1, 2020 as the new date for the Ordinary Congress.
The GFA has communicated to the clubs and all members of the association today, Tuesday, August 18, 2020.
