The Ghana Fencing Association (GFA) has presented the 9 medals won by Ghanaian fencers in the just ended African Junior Cadet Fencing Championship to the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi.

The National Sports Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports offered the team ten thousand cedis (GHC 10,000) to cater for their transportation and all other bills.
Ghana won nine medals, comprising three silver medals and six bronze in the just ended Africa Junior Cadet Fencing Championship held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Ghana finished third behind Egypt and Algeria after the four-day event held between February 25 to Saturday, February 29, 2020, featured 11 participating countries.
