Former Black Stars goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has ended his stay at Ethiopian side Jimma Abba Jifar FC, Kyfilla.com can confirm.

The 30-year old has left the Ethiopian side after three years of services for the club, helping them to win the 2017/18 Ethiopia Premier League title.
A statement from the former Liberty Professionals shot stopper reads, “Words can not vividly describe the extent to which am sad to say goodbye to Jimma Abaa Jifar fc. I enjoyed my stay with the club both off and on the field.

I would like to thank the management, the playing body and the technical team especially my goalkeeper’s coach Mr Mohammed who has helped me to become a better goalkeeper. Thank you coach Mohamed for being a great MENTOR and a FRIEND to me. May you be blessed with health and wealth abundantly.
Finally and most importantly I would like to thank the Jimma Abaa Jifar fans I believe they are the greatest fans in the world football. You have supported me from the moment I arrived not only on the pitch but difficult moment in my personal life off the pitch I will never forget. It is so so difficult to say bye but I believe we shall cross path again.

He joined the Ethiopian side from Tanzania Premier League outfit Simba Sports Club in 2016 and was voted the best goalkeeper in the Ethiopian League after the 2017/18 season.
He was an instrumental figure for the Ghana U20 squad that won the 2009 Africa Youth Championship and the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt.
