President Akufo-Addo has said that Ghana has recorded 333 deaths to the novel Coronavirus.
According to President Akufo-Addo, the 333 deaths cases have been recorded after the country had 13 news case of fatalities.[ads2]
President Akufo-Addo stated during his 20th nationwide address on Sunday, December 20 on measures put in place by the government in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Unfortunately, thirteen (13) more deaths from Covid-19 and it’s complications have been recorded, bringing them the total number of fatalities to 333 out of the 53,954 confirmed cases, may their souls rest in peace”, President Akufo-Addo said.[ads3]
Despite the new death cases, President Akufo-Addo continued that, Coronavirus numbers in Ghana is gradually going down as most treatment centers nationwide are virtually remain empty.
“Indeed, the total number of active cases has reduced marginally from 1,139 as at Friday, November 6 to 946 as at Friday, December 18, 2020″[ads4]
“Our hospitalization rates continue to be low and our treatment centres are virtually empty. As per data from the Ghana Health Service, some regions at the moment have no recorded active cases and long may the continue”, he added.
