The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has alerted Ghanaians of the sudden emergence of the Ebola disease in Guinea.
Guinea confirmed seven cases of the deadly Ebola disease on February 14, 2021 with three losing their lives.[ads2]
In release signed by the Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye urged Ghanaians to be mindful of their daily activities as government ensures the Ebola disease won’t find it way to the country.
He also entreated all regional and district public health emergency Management Committee to include on their agenda the education about the Ebola disease.[ads3]
Additionally, Dr. Aboagye urged that all regions, districts health facilities, port health units of all border posts particularly along the Western border and all landing beaches are to heighten surveillance for the Ebola disease using the standard case definition.[ads4]
